Static Electricity. Static electricity stays in one place. It is produced when some materials are rubbed together.It causes crackles when you comb your hair. We took some sheets of green paper and tore it up into small pieces.We used a pen to add two black dots and hey presto we had some frogs .!! We combed our hair with a plastic comb quite a few times .We held the combs over the frogs and they came alive !!! The frogs jumped up because the comb had static electricity. Did you know Lightning is caused by a natural build up of static electricity in clouds? The lightning strike is just a giant spark of electricity.
