Craters on the Moon

As the final part of our Solar System Inquiry we looked at the moon surface and learnt that it has craters. Meteorites,Asteroids and comets make craters on the moon when they crash into it.We wanted to see how it worked so we used a bowl of flour to represent the moons surface. We dropped different objects into the flour to see what would happen.

The heavier objects made a bigger crater and the lighter objects made a smaller crater.

Go Oscar!!
