Welcome to Room 3!
What a fabulous first day at school we have had!
We welcomed seven new children into Room 3, who have just turned five.
We have been very busy with our learning.
Have a look at some of the activities we did today.
James and Cooper shared together at the dough table.
Fletcher was a fabulous listener on the Listening Post for his very first time.
Flynn enjoyed hearing the Letterland songs of Annie Apple and Bouncy Ben.
Marina is very clever as she knows how to adjust the volume all by herself.
Mila enjoyed reading the big book "I'm the King of the Mountain' and using the magic wand to point to the words.
Nicholas worked hard and enjoyed making fans at the making table.
Meg enjoyed using the cars in the big garage and parking building.
Fantastic! Look at what Fletcher has made all by himself.
Flynn enjoyed building with the big blocks and playing with the castle.
Meg was a fantastic shop keeper.
Mila is a super reader and loved reading books in the Library Corner.
She especially loved 'Where is the green sheep?'
It was now 10.30 a.m. so we all washed our hands and then put on our hats.
We then sat down outside on the stage with our lunchboxes under the sunshade.
We ate our morning tea and then had a fun time playing out
in the playground and in the sandpit.
After morning tea, we sat at our tables to read from our practice box.
What wonderful readers you are!
Mila read a non fiction book.
Meg did too,
James was an amazing Superstar today so he led us to the hall
for the big school assembly.
Marina was super buddy and did a great job at the back of the line with Hilary.
We enjoyed making all sorts of animals in the dough,
and sharing the toys in the water tray,
and drawing and writing on the whiteboards,

Wow James! You are very clever to be pointing to each of the words already!James was an amazing Superstar today so he led us to the hall

We were very good and ate up all our lunch with the rest of the Year 1 children.
After lunch, we went into room 2 for some singing then our friends from room 2 came into our class and did some activities with us. We enjoyed making all sorts of animals in the dough,
and sharing the toys in the water tray,
and drawing and writing on the whiteboards,
and using lots of different mathematics equipment,
and using the construction materials, like the marble run.
We have had a busy day and then after 'warm fuzzies', it was home time!
Well done everyone in room 3 for trying very hard with your learning today!
