We enjoyed Fun Fern netball sessions during the week-learning to pass and catch and work together as a team.




 


We did a Fantastic job hosting Junior Assembly on Friday.All the juniors enjoyed listening to our story of 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar '-our 'Days of the week 'and our Magnet work. Marina and Scott did an Awesome job at presenting and everybody spoke and sang so beautifully.Well done Room 3 -we were very proud of you all -what great team work !!We are looking forward to later in the year when we will host again.

Wow - this week we had a ride on a double decker bus from school into Wellington and back. When we were in Wellington, we were an audience to three fantastic shows as part of the Capital E Children's Art Festival. On Friday, we had another earthquake practice and we are all very good at the 'turtle' position. We also welcomed Brodie and Amelia to our class.

Our Inquiry about the past

We have been learning about our family tree and the activities that our parents and grandparents did as children compared to what we do. Ana showed us photos of her grandparents and Ted showed us a quilt his grandma had made for him. The teachers showed items from their childhood. There was a small child's sewing machine, a wooden dolly peg, glass milk bottle, telephone and elastic twist game. We even saw a photo of what Muritai School looked like one hundred years ago.
