Our Education Outside the Classroom Week!

Room 3 have had a wonderful time exploring a range of experiences in our Education outside the classroom week.
We began the week with a visit to Te Papa on Monday. First we explored the xray section containing whales, sharks and seals and the enormous squid.

We loved watching the 3D movie wearing the cool glasses!
Next we went to Nature space.

Mrs Mills then taught us about Te Marae.

After lunch we went to Pasifica.

We then went back to school on the bus.

On Tuesday we learnt some new cricket skills from Lee and then we met some animals from Zippity Zoo. Farmer B told us all about the animals and then we patted them, fed them and even brushed them.

On Wednesday we had our Junior School Athletics and we showed how clever we were with the high jump, long jump, shot put, sprints, quoits, vortex and obstacle course.

On Thursday we had an author visit. Moira told us the story of the Taniwhai in Wellington Harbour and also taught us a waiata about a taniwha.

After school we had our 'Celebration of Learning' and we proudly showed our families what we have been learning and what our current learning steps are.

On Friday we explored our local beach, pool and park.

What a fun week we had. We want to do it all over again!
