Room 3 2017

  In Room 3 at Circle time we are learning to: Speak in a clear voice. Look at our classmates when we are speaking to them.  Wait our turn to speak and not interrupt others. Listen to all the members of our class circle.     The moon moves around the Earth-some beautiful collage work related to our Inquiry into the solar system.   Our giant balls of burning gas ( Stars)     We created our own groups of stars and named them.  In Maths we  are learning about dividing things in half.We enjoyed eating one half and then the other of our delicious fairy bread.  

Room 3 have been learning some fun ways to use their bodies during gymnastics. First they had to use their body to solve a variety of problems. They had to make different letters of the alphabet, keep different parts of their bodies touching the mat and blow and catch a feather. At first - by themselves -  then they had to work together co-operatively - After that, they worked on the different pieces of equipment - beam, mat, box, trampoline. We are so lucky in room 3 as we now have had Claire start school.  Have a look at some of the learning she has been doing. 

Room 3 welcomed another student to our class this week. We are glad that Sapphire has joined us. She has been very busy doing lots of learning. Well done Sapphire! On Tuesday we went to the Eastbourne Library with our friends from rooms 1 and 4.  The librarian read two stories to us and then we chose our own book to read  before having it issued to be added to our classroom library.
