Life in Room 3
At Circle Time we are learning to:
Speak in a strong, clear voice when it is our turn.
Listen carefully to our classmates and stay focussed on what is happening in the circle.
Look at the person who is speaking.
Think about what our classmates are saying and formulate a question.
Sit with our legs and arms folded.
Circle time is a very important part of the school day. It gives all students an opportunity to contribute verbally in a safe and supportive environment-it teaches valuable listening skills and respect for classmates opinions. It is the time where, as a class,we can sit together and talk about important things and explore feelings.
We are loving visiting Letterland every day.
Great work at our tables and learning correct pencil grip.
Learning to write the numerals first to 10 and then to 20-correct shape first-size second.
We are learning about our friends in Room 3 and also about their families-we are all a part of something bigger than ourselves and our family history changes over time.
It was fun visiting Andrea and Harold in the exciting mobile classroom parked in our school playground. We talked about how we can be a good friend and how we can help other people. We each had a puppet to talk to and enjoyed asking them questions about how they were feeling. In Room 3 we are learning to be great classmates!
