Week Two-Term 2

We enjoyed being part of Wacky Hair day on Friday-the money raised going to World Vision for distribution in Malawi. This was a school wide event.

Our big idea for Inquiry this term.
Energy exists in many forms -it can be observed, changed and put to a variety of uses in our everyday lives. We have been looking at Magnets. We have discovered a magnet has two ends called the North Pole and the South Pole. Like poles Repel unlike poles Attract.Magnets are useful in everyday life.

We went fishing at our table groups. The fish with metal paper clips attached were caught by the magnets on the end of the rods.

We also experimented with Magnetic Sand.Holding our magnets under the paper plates we were able to move the sand and make interesting shapes. The magnetic force was strong. Next week we will explore how Sound  travels.
