Mixed Media Art

Room 3 have been doing some Mixed Media Art. The process followed was that the children first observed some sunflowers and then used water colour paints on special water colour paper to create their own flowers. They also did lovely backgrounds and enjoyed moving the paint around the paper to create different shades. When their painting was dry, they used special pens to do the outlines and after that they also added either pastel or wax crayon for effect. They did an amazing job at their first attempts in water colour.

The pictures are on display in our corridor and copies have been made for the calendars and they are on our classroom window. Enjoy!
